History

The OK Cavalry is an old and nominally infamous fighting group originating from the descendents of Crystalmir at the Duchy of Stormwall c. 1998. The first members are:
  • Nathen (Nathan Jones)
  • Nilrem the Safer (Jacob Smith)
  • Meggido (Noah Smith a.k.a. Randeulph)
  • Within a year we added two more members:
  • Jack (Jack Moore)
  • Alanna (TR Serna)
  • Also that year, we had our first attempted infiltration by a Rogue. Kandon Windwood (sp?) made a show of wanting to wear the colors, but it was quickly determined that he did not have the prime characteristic of the Cavalry membership, namely: mediocrity.

    Events

OK Cavalry has attended a few events since its inception, including: You may remember the OKC from events in the past (and the future, for those of you particularly gifted). We're the pink guys. We have a predilection for charging, and unusual formations in battle.
  • Spring War VI (?). Sheep barn, rained a bunch. We left early.
  • Clan XVI. East vs. West war. We didn't bring enough equipment. Acquired two tentative members, but never got names (too much drinking). Lost the Standard.
  • Spring War X. Got clubbed in the head.
  • Rakis 2003. OK Cavalry is going to Rakis this summer!
  • Garb

OKC colors and garb are easy and fun. The garb colors were primarily selected for their uniqueness, as well as their thermal properties during Texas summers. Colors are light/pastel pink and light/pastel gray.

Many members where the Standard Tabard, a long, narrow pink tabard emblazoned with OK in gray.

    Equipment

The core members of OKC are two Warriors (3rd & 6th) and two Wizards (6th). Both Wizards play war-wizards, and usually carry spears. The warriors of OKC generally carry sword & board.

Additionally, the OKC carrys a Standard of the OKC. This is a pink yard flamingo on a long sword core. Have you seen this? It would be somewhere on I-10 west of El Paso.
